Payment methods

Cash to the courier, once the parcel is in your hands. No card form on this site, no deposit, no surprise at the door: the amount is read back to you on the phone before anything is packed.

One way to pay

1.1

Cash, to the courier, at the moment the parcel changes hands. That is the whole list. OutletDen is a cash-on-delivery shop in all 10 countries it serves, and nothing about an order is settled before the goods are with you.

1.2

Money never travels over this website. There is no payment page, no checkout redirect and no card form anywhere on the site, and the order ticket asks for a name, a phone number and an address — nothing that could be used to charge you.

1.3

No deposit, no part-payment, no bank transfer in advance. If a page, a call or a message ever asks you to pay before delivery, it did not come from us: tell desk@outletden.com and we will look into it.

2.1

Stock pages quote euro, with VAT already counted in wherever the sale attracts it. Parcels start their journey inside the European Union, which is why no import duty turns up on the doorstep behind them.

2.2

The figure sits on the order ticket before you confirm, and the Delivery sheet sets out where we carry and how long it takes. What the courier asks for is that figure and not a cent more.

3.

The amount is agreed on the phone first

3.1

Every order gets a confirmation call before it is packed. The person on the line reads back the item, the quantity, the address and the exact sum the courier will collect, so the figure is settled between us while you can still change it.

3.2

Disagree with any part of it and the order simply stops there. Cancelling on that call costs nothing, because nothing has been paid and nothing has been dispatched.

3.3

Nobody calling on our behalf will ask for a card number, a bank login, a verification code or a payment app confirmation. Those questions are the sign of a scam, whoever the caller claims to be. Hang up, then write to desk@outletden.com with your ticket number (ODN- and digits).

4.

Paying in a country that does not use the euro

4.1

In Poland, Czechia, Hungary and Romania the courier cannot take euro notes, so it collects the same amount in the local currency. The conversion is worked out before dispatch, at the rate our courier partner applies on the day the parcel is handed over to them.

4.2

You are told that local figure during the confirmation call, and it does not move afterwards. If it is not what you expected, say so on the call rather than at the door: at that point the order can still be dropped at no cost.

4.3

Wherever you are, the currency is the only thing that changes. The price of the goods, the carriage we absorb and your rights stay the same across every country on the list.

5.

At the door

5.1

Couriers carry very little change, so notes close to the total save everyone a problem. If the courier cannot make change, the parcel usually goes back on the van for another attempt, which delays a delivery that was otherwise finished.

5.2

Take the slip, receipt or signed delivery record the courier offers and keep it. It is the only proof that cash changed hands, and it is what a refund claim is checked against later.

5.3

Payment is for the parcel as it is handed over. Inspect the outer box first: a box that is crushed, soaked or already open can be refused on the spot, and then there is nothing to pay at all.

6.

Money coming back to you

6.1

Cash at the door leaves nothing to reverse: no card to credit, no payment account to push money back through. A refund therefore travels as a bank transfer into an account in your own name, for which we need the name on that account and its IBAN, asked for then and used for nothing else.

6.2

Withdrawing within the 14 days brings back every cent you handed the courier, since that was the goods and only the goods; a faulty or wrong item costs you nothing at all, return postage included. The timings are on the Right of withdrawal sheet and in Returns and refunds.

6.3

We charge no fee to make a refund, and we never make one in vouchers or store credit unless you ask for that instead.

7.

What we hold, and what we do not

7.1

We hold no card numbers, no expiry dates, no security codes and no payment tokens, for the simple reason that we never receive any. There is nothing of that kind in our systems to leak, and no payment processor sits between you and us.

7.2

The cash goes to the courier, who passes it to us after delivery. What we keep afterwards is the order record itself — what was bought, where it went, what was collected — for the periods set out in the Privacy notice.

7.3

Bank details reach us only when you have asked for a refund, and they are used for that transfer and filed with the refund record.
