Cookies and storage

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Browsers also offer “local storage”, which does the same job without being sent to the server on every request. The law treats both alike, and so does this sheet.

This site writes two kinds of entry. The first kind is strictly necessary for something you asked the site to do; it needs no consent and is listed in section 2. The second kind is advertising cookies from Google and Meta; they are used only if you agree, and are listed in section 3. There is no third kind.

The site is run by WHATECH MOBILE CO., LIMITED, which is responsible for it. How personal data is handled in general is set out in the Privacy notice.

The forms on this site (order ticket, contact desk) are protected by a time-limited security token. It is fetched when the form loads, held in the page’s memory and sent back with the form. It is not stored as a cookie and disappears when you close the page.

Fonts, icons and images are served from our own address. Opening a page does not call a font service or any other third party, apart from what section 3 describes.

Our staff back office sets a login cookie for staff who sign in to it. Visitors and customers never receive it.

What they record. That a browser which saw or clicked one of our adverts later visited the site, which pages it opened, and whether an order was completed, with the order’s value and ticket number. Your name, address, phone number and email are not sent to either platform by these tags.

Meta pixel. The pixel’s code is not loaded at all until you accept advertising cookies. If you refuse, or never answer, Meta receives nothing from your visit.

Google Ads tag. The tag runs in Google’s consent mode with every permission set to “denied” from the start. In that state it writes no advertising cookies and reads none. It may still send Google a cookieless signal that a page was viewed or an order completed, which, like any web request, carries your IP address and browser type; Google uses such signals for aggregate, modelled reporting and not to identify you or to personalise adverts. Cookies are written, and adverts personalised, only after you accept.

Statistics. The cookie question also has a “statistics” switch. No separate statistics tool is installed at present; the switch only sets the matching permission in Google’s consent mode and is there so that nothing of the kind can ever start without your say.

Both providers may process this data in the United States and also use it for their own purposes. The safeguards for those transfers are described in the Privacy notice, section 7. Lifetimes are set by the providers and may change; the figures above are the ones they publish at the date of this revision.

On your first visit a strip at the bottom of the page asks the question with three buttons of equal size: accept, reject or choose. Nothing optional is ticked in advance, and the site works the same whichever you press.

To change your mind later, use “Cookie settings” in the footer of any page. It re-opens the strip. A new choice takes effect at once for the pages you open next.

Withdrawing consent stops the tags from writing or reading advertising cookies. It does not delete cookies already in your browser: remove those in your browser’s settings, under the entry for this site. The same settings let you block cookies and storage altogether. If you block local storage, the site still works, but it will ask the cookie question on every page and the order confirmation page cannot show your recap.

You can also manage advert personalisation in your Google account and your Meta account settings. Those settings belong to the providers and apply across all sites, not just this one.

If we add, remove or rename a storage entry or a tag, this sheet is updated before the change goes live and the revision date in the header moves. If a change needs your consent, the cookie question is asked again.
